People love to play Ping pong is available to people of all walks of life, and to all ages and skill levels. We see this table as a singular way to bring a social sport, that’s already well-loved, to public spaces. We have benefactors who will donate our first table, the cost of delivery, and installation. We just need approvals. |
How outdoor ping pong benefits Santa Barbara People of good will and like mind tend to congregate – specially when an opportunity like ping pong is directly in their path. Results are positive, fun and spontaneous. Areas that historically may have attracted social problems can be turned around by this simple principle. Our first proposed location, the lawn at the Santa Barbara Public Library, is in need of just this sort of shift. Many communities have installed HENGE tables in outdoor downtown areas and in parks and business environments, where foot traffic is high, with great results. We have testimonials from community leaders, parks and recreation supervisors and more – who’ve seen that is effortlessly improves surroundings by sustaining a healthy, communal activity.
